New car park for Cumberland Infirmary

A new 270-space car park has opened today at Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary to help ease parking congestion on the hospital site.

The new car park is located behind the main hospital building, near the helipad, and will be used for staff parking which hospital bosses say will further reduce congestion in the main car parks for patients and visitors.

Planning permission has also been granted to make the temporary car park next to Reiver House permanent and work will begin on it later this year.
