'No trace' of missing Dumfries man in river searches

Searches for a missing Dumfries man who fell into the River Nith have found no trace of him, according to Police Scotland.

41-year-old Bryan Cowie fell into the river near to the rowing club at Greensands, at around 9.00pm on Sunday night.

Divers from the Police Scotland Underwater Unit searched areas in and around a part of the River Nith in the centre of Dumfries today.
