WATCH: Gritter driver speaks about rescuing Olympic great
A gritter driver who rescued Sir Chris Hoy has told ITV Border what it was like going to the aid of an Olympic great.
Steven Fallon helped get Sir Chris back on the road yesterday when the track cycling legend's car hit black ice near Moffat and swerved into a snowbank.
Sir Chris escaped unhurt and without any damage to his car and was able to get a tow truck with Steven's help.
Steven, who lives in Annan, has worked as a gritter driver for Dumfries and Galloway Council for the last seven years.
