Plans have been unveiled for new state-of-the-art facilities for children with special educational needs in Kendal in South Cumbria.
They'll cost £3million but they won't be built at Sandgate special school itself...rather next door at a local secondary school, Queen Katherine High School.
At the moment the oldest students at the special school in Key Stage 4 have the opportunity to mix with students in the High School.
This new building will mean that younger key stage 3 students in years 7 to 9 at Sandgate will be able to mix with Queen Katherine's students.
They will have access to the bigger school's facilities and all the children will eat lunch together, a move that hopes to reduce bullying.
Most of the development's £3m cost is coming from Cumbria County Council tax payers.
Building work starts next year and will be finished by Summer 2018.
