Langholm local newspaper to survive following new funding
A Langholm-based newspaper will stay in print despite fears of it closing down at the end of this year.
The Eskdale and Liddlesdale Advertiser, which covers the south of Scotland, is set to be sold to a community interest company.
The would-be director of the company, David Stevenson, says plans are still being made to keep the newspaper afloat:
The newspaper will remain available in print and online until April 2017 while the sale is being concluded.
