Sprinter Libby Clegg is celebrating after winning gold in the T11 100m at the Paralympics in Rio.

The 26-year-old from Newcastleton in the Scottish Borders has two silver medals from London 2012 and Beijing 2008.

Clegg and her guide Chris Clarke won the 100m in 11.96 seconds.

Her dad Peter Clegg was watching the race at home in Newcastleton. He told ITV Border it was "an amazing feeling".

Libby has a deteriorating eye condition known as Stargardt’s Macular Dystrophy disease, which means she only has slight peripheral vision in her left eye, and is registered as blind.
