Border Weather - Rest of the Weekend

Late Summer in Buttermere Credit: DECLAN HEWITT

SATURDAY:

It will be dry day for most areas with some sunshine. Possibly a few isolated (potentially heavy) showers in the far west towards evening with winds increasing. Decent highs for September at 18°C.

OVERNIGHT:

Isolated showers likely across the south and west during the evening, these mostly dying out in the early hours. Otherwise a dry night with clear periods. Cooler than of late at 8°C.

SUNDAY:

All parts should be dry with some bright or sunny intervals. Perhaps some thicker cloud later in the day could produce an isolated shower over hills. Freshening southerly breeze in the afternoon and evening, becoming strong along the Solway later. Highs 18°C.

OUTLOOK:

Cloudier across the southwest at times with the chance of a little rain on Monday. The east is likely to stay mainly dry with the chance of some warm sunshine in places.

Warming up again Tuesday and Wednesday with some sunshine and temperatures back up into the low to mid 20s celsius.
