Innovia opens brand new £10 banknote facility

Innovia in Wigton has opened a brand new facility in order to create the substrate polymer that will be used on £10 banknotes.

The Bank of England’s new polymer £10 banknote substrate is being produced at the new facility, ready for circulation in the Summer of 2017.

This follows the launch of the Bank of England’s new polymer £5 banknote, also manufactured by Innovia, which will enter circulation on September 13th.
