Solfest will go ahead following license review
A music festival on the west coast of Cumbria, has been given the go ahead despite initial concerns it would be scrapped following a licence review.
Solfest takes place this weekend and has been running for 13 years at Tarns, near Silloth.
The festival was under review by Allerdale Council's Licensing Panel, who made the decision not to revoke or suspend the license for Solfest.
Solfest organisers were issued a warning regarding the need to submit more detailed paperwork in advance of future events.
The panel also recommended that the Solfest organisers and Cumbria Police need to make improvements in their communication during the run up to the event to prevent such issues occurring in the future.
