Record breaking breastfeeding attempt in the Borders

A synchronised breastfeeding event will take place at the Borders General Hospital Credit: ITV Border

A world record attempt is hoping to raise awareness about breastfeeding, by mums and their babies breastfeeding at the same time across the world.

NHS Borders is hosting a local 'Big Latch On' today at 10.00am at the Borders General Hospital, during World Breastfeeding Week.

Thousands of other breastfeeding women and their babies will gather in their own communities across the world for the synchronised breastfeeding event.
