People in the south of Scotland are being urged to join the fight against scams and fraudsters.

Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service (D&G CAS) says cold calls, high-pressure sales tactics and automated voicemails asking for people’s details are just some of the tricks scammers are using to rob people of their hard-earned cash.

To avoid falling victim D&G CAS is calling on people to inform the authorities and warn others when fraudsters are operating in the area.
