Dumfries & Galloway pays tribute to The Wicker Man director
Dumfries and Galloway's arts and music community have been paying tribute to Robin Hardy - director of cult film The Wicker Man, which was filmed in the Kirkcudbright area.
Sid Ambrose co-founded the Wickerman Festival, a local music festival which was inspired by the film.
He says Dumfries and Galloway was carefully chosen as the location for the film, because of the "quality of light" in the region.
The film had a big influence on Sid, not least because he bumped into star actor Christopher Lee while filming was taking place.
Sid says that he'll remember Robin Hardy as a "great guy to speak to", as well as being director of The Wicker Man.
