Council agrees settlement with DG One company
A settlement has been reached between Dumfries and Galloway Council and the company responsible for the construction of the DG One leisure centre.
The council says the terms of the agreement with Kier Construction Ltd are "confidential and cannot be disclosed".
DG One - the biggest leisure centre in Dumfries - was closed in October 2014 for repair work costing millions of pounds, after years of problems.
Now that the legal settlement has been reached, the council says a contractor can be appointed to carry out the repair work to the centre.
They also say they're looking at how the centre could be improved.
Kier Construction Ltd has also released a statement.
Temporary facilities at the Loreburn Hall and swimming pool at Dumfries Ice Bowl will continue to be provided until DG One re-opens.
