Three young children have been spotted "dicing with death" playing on a railway line in Carlisle, according to British Transport Police.

The children were captured on CCTV trespassing on the railway at Eden Viaduct over three days: Friday 22 April, Sunday 24 April and on Sunday 1 May.

Trains travel through the area at up to 90mph and police say playing there could result in death or horrific injury.

Officers are now calling on parents and schools to get the message across that playing near railway lines is "dicing with death".
