A new £13 million school and community campus has officially opened in Carlisle.

Harraby Community Campus includes the new Pennine Way Primary School, a community centre and sports facilities.

The aim is to benefit the next generation of people living in the south of the city, and give children the chance to flourish throughout their education.

It has been built on the old North Cumbria Technology College site, and is costing the county council £12 million, and Carlisle City Council around £1.2 million.
