A man accused of taking part in a raid on a convenience store in Innerleithen has been banned from entering Scotland.

Marques Munro was initially remanded in custody when he appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court last week, but was released the following day with the condition he did not enter Innerleithen.

But the 20-year-old from the Bulwell area of Nottingham was arrested in Innerleithen at the weekend.

He appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to breaching the conditions of his bail.

Munro - who faces a charge of assault and robbery following an incident at the Caddon Court Mini Market in Innerleithen on Saturday, May 14 - had sentence deferred for good behaviour for three months.

He is banned from entering Scotland apart from when he has to appear in court.
