Cumbrian blacksmith forges poppies for Belgian cenotaph
West Cumbrian blacksmith Alan Dawson is working on a special project to mark 100 years since the First World War's Battle of Ypres.
From his workshop in Branthwaite he's designed a panel and made 40 steel poppies for a cenotaph in Belgium.
Blacksmiths from around the world are taking part in the project.
Alan will be travelling out to Belgium in September to help put the cenotaph together, and is hopeful millions of people will see the results.
