Mother saves daughter... one day after first aid course
A Carlisle mother who saved the life of her young daughter the day after taking a first aid course is urging others to learn the skills.
Samantha Furmston stopped 20-month-old Rosie from choking.
The day before she had nearly pulled out of a two-hour first aid course led by the North West Ambulance Service because Rosie had been feeling unwell.
Richard Lambert from the NWAS trained Samantha, and he showed ITV Border reporter Matty Sutton how to perform some life saving techniques.
