Junior doctors in Cumbria are in the midst of a two-day all-out strike.

They are protesting against a new contract, which the Department For Health plans to impose on them in the summer.

Doctors on the picket line outside the Cumberland Infirmary told ITV Border the new contracts will put people off working as junior doctors.

They say this will have drastic consequences for the NHS in Cumbria, where recruitment is already a big issue.

Watch Greg Hoare's report:

NHS England say 78 percent of junior doctors took part in the strike today.

Tomorrow, the industrial action will resume at 8am and continue until 5pm.
