Derek Eland leaves on Friday, April 1, for Everest Base Camp where he will set up a Big Brother-style diary room for climbers and visitors to document their experiences.
Derek will be the first ever artist-in-residence on the mountain. His work will be shown at the Rheged Centre in Penrith next year.
