Cumbrian netball star to play for England

A teenager has been picked to represent England at the Indoor Netball World Cup.

18-year-old Faye Bateson, who plays for Cumbrian team Westmorland Wanderers, has been selected for the under 21s indoor squad. The tournament takes place in New Zealand in August.

Faye attended Dallam School in Milnthorpe and the Westmorland Wanderers train at Kirkby Stephen Grammar school. Last year, she was part of the under 18s team that took gold at the Indoor Netball Age World Series in Australia.
