Cumbria County Council have announced that Cumbria has been granted an additional £82.6 million to fund essential repairs following the damage brought by the storms.
This gives Cumbria a total fund of just under £122million.
This really is great news and this money will go a very long way to helping Cumbria rebuild its infrastructure following the floods. This money, together with the £39 million that Government have already allocated us, now gives Cumbria a total of just under £122million and we will use this money to rebuild our County making it stronger and more resilient for the future.”
