Sunday night:

Some clear spells during the evening, leading to a widespread frost, but this lifting overnight as clouds increase from the west. Southerly winds freshening along the Solway coast later. Minimum Temperature -2 °C.

Monday:

Perhaps some patchy light rain and hill snow over Galloway, otherwise dry but mainly cloudy. Heavier rain spreading to Dumfries and Galloway later. Fresh or strong southerly winds. Maximum Temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Heavy overnight rain clearing to showers on Tuesday, these turning wintry on Wednesday, merging into longer spells of rain and hill snow for a time on Thursday. Windy at times.
