Cumbria Police's acting Chief Constable Michelle Skeer says she is "outraged" and "extremely saddened" by reports she is being investigated for corruption and misconduct in office.
It was reported on BBC North West Tonight that another police force was investigating a complaint of alleged corruption and misconduct.
