Berwick factory due to close by autumn

General Mills announced their decision to close the Berwick Jus-Rol factory by autumn this year.

The company had announced a proposal to close the baking mix and frozen dough production facility on 29 October 2015, subject to consultation.

The closure will impact approximately 265 positions. General Mills said it will provide severance and transition benefits to all affected employees.

A multi-agency taskforce is stepping in to offer tailored support for all employees.
