Staveley playing host to annual hedge laying competition
The rural craft of hedge laying will be tested as professional and amateur hedge layers from across the north of England come together to show off their skills at Friends of the Lake District’s Annual Hedge Laying Competition.
The competition, which is in the Westmorland and Lancashire style, takes place on Saturday 30 January at New Hall Farm in Staveley as part of the Westmorland and Lancashire Grand Prix of seven events this year to find the best hedge layers.
Entry to the competition is free for both competitors and spectators.
