Al-Imdaad emergency aid relief workers lend a helping hand to flood hit communities
Aid relief workers from the Al-Imdaad Foundation have been playing a major part in the restoration of communities across the Border region throughout the three storms of December.
The emergency response unit is a relief organisation and wherever disaster strikes, the volunteers are on hand to give support, supplies and to help rebuild flood-struck communities.
8 team members were in Newton Stewart and Castle Douglas today, handing out food, blankets and helping to build more flood barriers. 13 volunteers remain in Cumbria where they are working to rebuild areas of Cockermouth, Keswick and Carlisle.
