Two of Carlisle's main supermarkets have been closed since the floods hit last Saturday. But they're doing all they can to keep their customers stocked up for Christmas.

Tesco was six feet underwater but now has 100 construction workers working 24 hours a day. A temporary shop and pharmacy are expected to open on the site on Friday. The main store will open after the New Year at the earliest.

The Sainbury's store at Caldewgate is operating a click and collect service until it reopens on Tuesday 22 December.
