Top award for Cumbrian athlete

Carlisle-born hammer thrower, Nick Miller, has been named the Under 23 Athlete of the Year by England Athletics.

He was the silver medallist at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last year and won gold at the 2015 European Athletics Under 23 Championships.

Nick, who trained with the Border Harriers and Athletics Club when he was younger, also holds the British record of 77.55 metres.
