Border Weather - 'All change' by midweek

In recents days the weather story across the UK has been fairly benign; Mainly dry, Some cold nights and a chilly breeze.

In the coming days we lose the high pressure that has been maintaining quiet and relatively settled conditions across the region.

From midweek low pressure takes hold from the Atlantic bringing more changeable conditions with stronger winds, rain at times and slightly milder air.

More unsettled by midweek as low pressure edges in from the northwest

Here's your BORDER forecast for the next few days.....

SUNDAY DAY:

A largely dry and bright day with some sunny spells at times. Perhaps more in the way of cloud across The Borders. Feeling pleasant in light winds. Highs 14°C.

SUNDAY NIGHT:

Remaining dry with some clear spells overnight, but patchy cloud too. A chance of frost and fog patches under any prolonged clear spells. Lows 3°C.

MONDAY:

A mostly dry day with patchy cloud and the occasional sunny spell. Cloud will thicken in the west during the evening, with perhaps some light rain over the Galloway hills. Highs 13°C.

OUTLOOK:

A notable change from recent settled weather. Dry for much of Tuesday, but rain and strong winds spread east later. Improving Wednesday, becoming largely dry but breezy with gales developing overnight into Thursday
