Council Chief Executive loses job
The Chief Executive of Copeland Borough Council has today left his job, as part of a restructure that the council hopes will save nearly £150,000.
The Chief Executive's role has been cancelled, meaning Paul Walker has lost his position.
A severance package has been agreed for him, and his duties will be taken on by:
Director of Economic Growth, Pat Graham
Director of Customer and Community, Julie Betteridge
Director of Resources and Strategic Commissioning, Fiona Rooney
Elected Mayor, Mike Starkie
Executive members, councillors Lena Hogg, David Moore and Dave Banks
The roles of the remaining three directors will also now be scrutinised.
