Supergran skydives to raise money for cancer charity
A grandmother from Shap has leapt out of a plane to raise money for charity.
Supergran Eileen Dobson, 77, took part in the skydive to support Teenage Cancer Trust UK.
It was in memory of her grandson, Wayne, who died from cancer aged just 21.
Eileen was joined by Wayne's sister and mum for a very special family outing.
They were determined to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, the charity which supported Wayne throughout his illness.
The 28 September to 4 October is Teenage Cancer Awareness Week, and the charity is aiming to raise awareness of the top five most common signs of cancer in young people.
The signs are persistent and unexplained:
Pain
Lump, bump or swelling
Significant weight loss
Extreme tiredness
Changes in a mole
Around seven people aged 13 to 24 are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every day.
