Carlisle man sentenced for extreme child pornography

A Carlisle man has been sentenced for making indecent images of children, and possessing extreme pornographic images.

Rezaur Rahman, 41, who is from Carlisle but now living in Rochdale, was sentenced to:

  • A one year prison sentence suspended for two years

  • A supervision order for two years

  • Curfew for 6 months between 8pm and 8am

  • 200 hours unpaid work

  • A Sexual Harm Prevention Order

  • Sex Offenders Register for 10 years

  • £2000 costs and £100 surcharge

He was found guilty of eight counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo photograph of a child.

Three counts of possessing a prohibited image of a child.

Three counts of possessing extreme pornographic images portraying an act of intercourse / oral sex with a dead / live animal.
