Three stripes and he's out
Visitors were treated to a real thrill last week when an extra set of stripes appeared in the Zebra paddock at the Lake District Wildlife Park near Keswick.
The park is home to four Grants Zebra mares, a yearling and a stallion named Daan.
Born to Mum Zara, the young foal is the third to be bred at the park. Unusually, all three foals have been colts.
The young zebra is yet to be named, if you have any suggestions, then we would like to hear from you.

In summer 2013 Park Manager Richard Robinson, travelled to Flamingo Land to collect Zara and two of her stable mates, creating a larger herd of Grants Zebra at the Lake District Wildlife Park.
Flighty by nature, they settled in remarkably well, with Zara being the first of the new mares to give birth at the park.
This late summer foal has arrived just in time for the end of the school holidays and is the third successive colt.
Its five years since the first Zebra foal was born at the Lake District Wildlife Park. Named Marty (after the zebra from Madagascar the animated movie), he is now a breeding stallion at Longleat Safari Park.
The second colt was born during a thunder and lightning storm in May last year and was called Storm. Now a yearling, Storm will follow in his brother’s footsteps, eventually moving to another zoo or wildlife park.
Ricard Robinson is Manager of the Lake District Wildlife Park. He said Zara is settling into her motherly duties very well.
