Appeal for volunteer 'Blood Bikers'

They're often described as the unseen emergency service, playing a vital role in our health care system, but who are they?

Blood bikes are used to transport blood, x-rays and scans between different locations.

The Chairman of the Dumfries and Galloway Blood Bikes Phil Rogers explains what it is they do.

The Dumfries and Galloway branch is currently looking for more bikers to sign up to help ease the burden on the current group of volunteers.
