Shares in historical harbour up for sale
Do you want to own part of one of the region's most picturesque ports?
For the first time in Scotland, special community shares in a local landmark are being sold to the public.
The idea is that the sales will give the local community direct ownership of Portpatrick's 150-year-old Harbour.
It's also hoped the scheme will raise £75,000.
Here's what people have the chance to buy:
Very little has been spent on the port, since it was built more than 150 years ago.
There's currently only one shower, and a single stand pipe for boat owners to use.
The shares will be available in the Autumn, at a minimum of £25 each.
People will have the chance to get their money back in four years time, or continue their part-ownership of the port.
