Survey reveals prices vary across Dumfries and Galloway

A survey by the citizens advice service in south west Scotland has revealed differences in prices depending on where you live.

Volunteers visited thirty-eight stores and supermarkets across Dumfries and Galloway.

They found that in some places, basic items were over 50% more expensive.

The highest prices were in Sanquhar, which is also one of the most deprived areas in the region.
