A local cycling company has raised more than £2,500 to help rebuild homes damaged in Nepal's earthquakes.

Rather Be Cycling organised a ‘Ride for Nepal’ challenge in May for friends and customers.

For every mile they cycled, participants would donate or be sponsored £1.

The Keswick-based company says it organises a number of cycling holidays in Nepal and wanted to support the Nepali Bike Guides affected by the disaster.

Other companies throughout the Border region also got involved in the group's efforts, including a tea house in Dumfries and Galloway that held a Ukelele Evening to raise money.

A total of £2507.42 was raised.
