Fatal fire in Scottish Borders

A man has died following a fire at a building in the Scottish Borders.

The victim, who has not yet been named, was found by firefighters as they tackled the blaze at premises known as the Old Village Hall in Nenthorn, near Kelso.

Two fire crews were initially called to the scene yesterday morning, before further assistance was sought.
