A home fit for a Queen
A mansion in Berwickshire with a royal connection has gone on the market for almost £2 million.
Built in 1574, documents show that Mary Queen of Scots once stayed at Cowdenknowes in Earlston for two nights during her time as a magistrate in Melrose.
With seven bedrooms, six bathrooms and four reception rooms, the property is on sale for £1.8 million pounds.
It's new owners will be able to enjoy historical features such as an inscription dating back to when the house was first built, and the doorway way once used by the famous Monarch.
