Great grandmother scoops big bingo win in Carlisle

A great grandmother has won almost quarter of a million pounds at a bingo club in Carlisle

As she had a lucky star printed behind her winning number, she took home a jackpot bonus prize of a £229,905 on top of her £10,000 main prize.

It's the largest amount of money anyone has ever won at an Opera Bingo Club in the UK.

But the bingo regular didn't realise she had won, and had to be called up once she was home to hear the good news.
