Borders factory worker jailed for £200,000 clothes theft
A man who stole around £195,000 worth of clothing from a factory in Galashiels has been jailed at the Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
William Lauder was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment.
The 48-year-old was employed as Managing Director of Aero Leather Clothing Ltd, and was based at a factory at Greenbank Mill.
He stole the items from his workplace over a seven year period - between September 2004 and January 2011.
His offence came to light when the factory owners discovered he had been selling factory products on eBay.
