Dumfries and Galloway targets highest rate of youth employment in Scotland
The highest level of youth employment in Scotland, a boost in wages and greater business growth.
Those are three of the ambitious targets outlined by Dumfries and Galloway Council, in its economic plan for the next five years.
They want to achieve these things by increasing the number of apprenticeships in the region, which currently has high youth unemployment figures.
And they've also announced plans to join the Scottish Local Authority Loan Fund, which will make it easier for small and medium businesses to borrow money.
But one business told ITV Border the priority should be better Broadband in the county.
Malcolm Proudlock owns a hotel, and says the slow and unreliable Wifi costs him customers, and money.
The council acknowledges Dumfries and Galloway does have a "digital deficit".
It says improving this is an important part of its plans to boost the region's economy, and has promised 95 percent of the region will have Superfast Broadband access in two years time.
