Medal winning cleaner glad 'ordinary working people' are being recognised
A woman from Dumfries and Galloway, who has won a British Empire Medal, has said she thinks it's nice that 'ordinary working people' are being recognised.
Catherine Mitchell won the award for more than 32 years of service cleaning Annan Police Station.
The Lord Lieutenant of Dumfries and Galloway presented her with her medal at a ceremony on Friday.
She says she has a great response since her achievement was announced.
