Carlisle United: the brick and the lipstick
Keith Curle says he has no regrets about the interview in which he fiercely criticised his team, after their woeful defeat to Accrington Stanley on Easter Monday.
And the unusual approach continued when he brought players and coaches to face questions from the media.
One of those players - Danny Grainger - says he feels the pain of defeat just as much as the club's fans:
Curle also brought props to the press conference - a brick and a stick of lipstick, to be precise.
He says it's his version of the carrot and the stick, a way of building the team's confidence for their next clash, against Dagenham and Redbridge, on Saturday 11 April.
The Blues cannot afford another defeat, particularly with the relegation trapdoor looming, and a tricky run of fixtures ahead.
