Controversial plans to build a supermarket on a former brewery site in Ulverston have been given the go-ahead by South Lakeland District Council.

Proposals for the store involve demolishing much of the town's old Robinson's brewery.

They were put on hold last year after campaigners opposing the scheme won the right for a judicial review into the planning permission.
