More than £1.5m pledged to rescue St Bees

More than £1.5m has been pledged to stop an historic West Cumbrian school from closing.

The Rescue St Bees School team says the support shows the generosity of former pupils, and the wider community.

But it's come too late to save the school as it currently operates.

They're now looking at alternative ways to keep the school open, in some form.
