Kendal fire 'biggest for 20 years'
Fire fighters are dealing with what they say is the biggest fire Kendal has seen for 20 years.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue was called to the blaze at International Engineering company Mardix on Saturday night.
It's believed it started in another business, a small joinery, at the back of the building. Fire Investigators are still working to find a cause.
The fire spread to several parts of the building and local residents had to leave their homes after fears gas cylinders could explode.
Those cylinders have been cooled and residents have been allowed back into their homes as the fire service believes there is no further danger to the public.
The building is still deemed too unsafe to enter so fire fighters are tackling small fires inside the building from the outside.
Part of Shap Road is still closed to allow for water pipes to run across the road.
Fire fighters are calling it the biggest fire the town has seen in 20 years:
