With his raw power, stamina and drive his coaches say he could go all the way to the top.
The Currock House club he fights for has been in existence for 80 years, despite operating out of a tiny community centre with the most basic equipment, they produce regional champions year on year and help to bring structure and purpose to young people's lives.
The club currently work with around 30 youngsters every week. Champions like Nathan and Rusty as well as many from disadvantaged or troubled backgrounds and disabled fighters. It is now oversubscribed, and has to turn some would be fighters away.
Their ambition is to expand to meet demand but in reality they face a constant financial battle just to keep going
Tomorrow, Rusty is fighting not only for himself, but to bring glory and recognition to the club that has made him.
On Saturday the club willl put it's fight for survival to one side and get behind one of it's brightest prospects as he fights to become only it's second National champion in his division.
