Cumbrian fell runner breaks 27 year record

Earlier this year Steve Birkinshaw made fell running history, by breaking the Wainwright Peaks Record.

That meant scaling 214 peaks in the Lake District; running more than 300 miles. Steve did it in less than a week, breaking Joss Naylor's 27 year record, and raising more than £12,000 pounds for charity.

Last night (3rd October) was the premier of a film about his achievement. Wainwrights Record Attempt was shown at the Rheged Centre in Penrith as part of Brit Rock Film Tour. It was produced by adventure filmmaker Alastair Lee, of Posing Productions.
